Spectator Tips

Half Marathon/Relay Spectator Instructions

As always, please note that there is no parking at the start, so those dropping off runners should plan to begin spectating at Spots #1 or #2.

2020 Spectator  Tips

Spectator Spot #1

There is no parking at the start, so we recommend you start your spectating at Negro Bar State Park, just off of Greenback lane south of the Rainbow Bridge. This will be just past race course Mile 2, so you’ll see lots of happy, fresh runners here.

Spectator Spot #2

Now travel to the Nimbus Dam Recreation Area by taking Greenback Lane to Hazel Ave. Turn left onto Hazel, and after crossing over the American River turn left just past the Aquatic Center entrance. This will be soon after race course Mile 8.

Spectator Spot #3

At Willow Creek Park, between race course Miles 10 and 11, you will  see runners hanging on for for those final two+ miles to the finish. Heading East on Hwy 50, exit Folsom Blvd. and turn left. Travel 1.25 miles and make a u-turn at Blue Ravine traffic light/intersection. Go .25 mil to the Willow Creek turnoff.

Spectator Spot #4

The FINISH! Go north on Folsom Blvd. into the Folsom Historic District just before the Lake Natoma Bridge. The finish aera is located between Leidesdorff St. & Sutter St., in the Folsom Station Plaza. Watch all those runners “Cross that finish line” Johnny Cash style!
