The information below was created for the 2019 Folsom Blues Events.

Since the 2020 Folsom Covid Blues events are Virtual, we do not have a need for volunteers. Thank you for your past assistance, and stay tuned for news about the return to the Folsom Breakout Blues events in 2021!

Keep those runners smilin'!


Volunteers are always needed to help provide a quality event for the runners seeking t achieve their goals - be it to win, set a personal best time, or simply to finish. They can't do it without your help! Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the event for the following types of assistance:

  • Packet pick-up (at the Folsom Dick's Sporting Goods)
    • Friday, Oct. 18, 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm
    • Saturday, Oct. 19, 11:30 am to 5:30 pm
    • Sunday, Oct. 20, 5:30 am to 7 am
  • Race Setup (Leidesdorff St. near the Lake Natoma Inn in Historic Folsom) - SUNDAY, Oct. 20 at 5:00 am
  • Start Line area for Half Marathon, Relay, and 5K (Folsom Crossing Bridge) - SUNDAY, Oct. 20 at 5:00 am; includes start lines set up and assisting with getting the runners' drop bags onto the bus.
  • Course Monitors (course map) - SUNDAY, Oct. 20, 7:00 am to 11:00 am
  • Aid Stations (course map)- SUNDAY, Oct. 20, 7:00 am to 11:00 am
  • Finish area (Leidesdorff St. near the Lake Natoma Inn in Historic Folsom; map of finish area details) - SUNDAY, Oct. 20, 7:00 am to 12:00 pm 


As a "thank you" all volunteers will receive a cool Johnny Cash-themed t-shirt!
