The Half Marathon/Relay course has been revised to avoid the rockslide on the North side of Lake Natoma. As in the past, the Half Marathon, Relay and 5K all start near the Johnny Cash Bridge (aka Folsom Lake Crossing), although the Half marathon and Relay Start is now 1 mile from the Folsom-Auburn Rd./Folsom Lake Crossing individual runner drop off. If you decide to purchase a bus ticket for the runner drop off at the East Natoma St./Folsom Lake Crossing BUS location (0.25 mile from the start), you may do so at Friday or Saturday Packet Pick Up.
The Half Marathon/Relay course follows a scenic, downhill, out and back route along the South side of Lake Natoma to the same finish in Folsom's Folsom's Historic District. It includes running across the famous Rainbow Bridge and through Historic Folsom in the early miles. The Relay Exchange is conveniently located at 6.6-miles, just across Folsom Blvd. from the the Iron Point Light Rail Station and Outlet Stores, with lots of free parking for those not taking the bus. Following a "lollipop loop" around the Nimbus Dam Recreation Area, approximately 4.5 miles remain to the finish in Historic Folsom. The 5K course remains the same as in prior years, and the Kids 1K Breakaway course is the same as last year.
